New date for ball is Saturday 19 September 2009

9. GENERAL BUSINESS:
9.1 FIELD OFFICER REPORT
Don Dwyer reported that on Training Day 3 May 09, Ian
White marked out plants for next scheduled burn (near No 1
tank).
9.2 ISLAND DOOR KNOCK
Advice received from Tim Byrne (tabled and attached:
TB GenBus 20090504) re door knock on Sunday 31 May.
ACTION: SIRFB MEMBERS TO ASSIST DISTRICT BRIGADES
9.3 VERMIN CONTROL
Rat droppings have been found in SIRFB and Bruce Healey
has caught one (large) rat (ie non bush rat).
The Rat House brand of bait was recommended as being
child and domestic animal proof.
ACTION: GEOFF LEESON TO OBTAIN RAT BAITS AND SET OUT
9.4 SAUCEPANS AND CUTLERY
Kerry Borthwick reported that there was insufficient cutlery
and saucepans for the May winter dinner.
ACTION: KERRY BORTHWICK PURCHASE COMMERCIAL
GRADE EQUIPMENT, ie 2 LARGE HEAVY BASED SAUCEPANS
AND 30 SETS OF CUTLERY AS WELL AS A DISH RACK FOR THE
DISHWASHER FROM COMMERCIAL KITCHEN SUPPLY STORE (?
BROOKVALE) AND BE REIMBURSED BY SIRFB
9.5 CUPBOARDS
Bruce Healey has requested that the kitchen cupboard
construction be expedited.
Requested noted.
9.6 STAIRCASE TO MEZZANINE LOCKER ROOM
Graeme Richmond asked what further developments there
were on this matter.
John Marshall advised that SIRFB had written to District
Office (in 2008) with a request to pass the matter on to
Pittwater Council (landlord). He noted that this was an OHS
issue.
ACTION: GEOFF LEESON TO FOLLOW UP WITH DISTRICT
OFFICE (CRAIG GEDDES) AND PROGRESS MATTERS.
9.7 TENNIS WHARF BOAT BERTH
Noted that ladder and gate for fireboat have been supplied
and fixed
9.8 MEMBERSHIP FORMS
ACTION: KERRY BORTHWICK SEND MEMBERSHIP FORMS FOR
BOB BOLTON AND GREG KIRKENDALL TO DISTRICT OFFICE
