SIRFB has recently taken delivery of an automatic defribillator for use in the first aid treatment of heart attack victims.
Training has been done for a number of members on the use of the unit. We have also purchased a training simulator unit for ongoing training.
The bulk of the money was provided by a donation from the Scotland Island Residents Association with the remainder made up of donations and fundraising. Thank you to SIRA for their support.
The new personnel carrier is in the process of being modified to have a compartment to carry the unit.
